Information for winter registrations:

Registrations for the 2022/23 season are now open for cricket in Term 4, 2022 and Term 1, 2023.

If you are a returning participant, an email will be sent containing registration information and your child's individual MyCricket participant ID.   Please do not create a new ID if your child is a returning player.

If you are a new player to the club, keep an eye on our facebook page for registration details or read below for information on how to register.

Please register by 31 August 2022 to ensure your child gets to play with their friends. Please also talk to any friends who may also be interested in cricket this summer, forward them this website and get them to register as well.

For players in Year 3 and above it is most important you register before 31 August 2022. Late registrations for these older players may have to wait until a vacancy occurs (with no guarantee of playing with friends), placed into a new team or put onto a waiting list.

Which Grade should my child play in the 2022/23 Season?

Your child plays in the grade detailed below depending on the age of your child as of the 1st July 2022.

  • It is normal for all teams to contain players whose abilities vary greatly as players develop at different rates.
  • Boys: Dispensation will not be given for older players to play in a lower grade
  • Girls: We plan to have dedicated girls teams for girls in Year 3 to Year 12. Girls may also play with boys in all other grades listed below, and may spend up to 2 years longer in each age group if desired (e.g. Under 13 girls may play in the Under 11 mixed competition)

Club Playing Shirts

  • Cricket Blast players in Junior Blasters (PP and Yr1) are provided a shirt in their packs which must be worn on game day.
  • Master Blaster players (Yr2) are provided a club shirt which must be worn on game day and should be returned at the end of the season.
  • All players in Year 3 and new players to the club in other age groups will be supplied with a SPJCC shirt they can keep. Players can purchase additional/replacement short sleeved or long sleeved shirts for $40.  All players must wear this shirt when playing for SPJCC.

·         Game Day Hats

  • Junior Blaster and Master Blaster players are provided a hat in their packs which must be worn on game day.
  • All new players in Year 3 and above will be supplied with the Club broad brimmed hat which must be worn on match day. If your hat is lost or too small, players can purchase replacement broad brimmed hats for $15.

·         Training Caps

  • Junior Umpiring

Junior umpiring will again be available for children over 14 years old to umpire Under 13s and Under 14s South East Metropolitan JCC competitions. These are paid positions and the Level 1 umpiring course will be completed during the season.
