MANDATORY HELMET STANDARDS
Are you batting, wicketkeeping or fielding in close?
Stay Safe - Wear a British Standard Helmet
Cricket Australia strongly recommends that all junior and senior community players wear British Standard 7928:2013 compliant helmets from the 2019/20 season.
Key Features:
- Better construction, meaning a ball won't squeeze between the peak and grille of the helmet
- Better design and strength of materials, meaning the ball won't pull the grille into your face
- And greater coverage of the occipital area (behind the ear) to provide increased protection
For a list of compliant helmets please read the list here

The Community Junior Cricket Council (CJCC) has reviewed its rules and policies in relation to this.
Please read the CJCC directive here
If you are purchasing a helmet for your children, please ensure that the helmet will comply with the British Standard 7928:2013 in order to play cricket with South Perth Junior Cricket Club in the 2020/21 season. SPJCC will be compliant with the directive from the CJCC from 2020/2021 season.
