SPJCC Policy – Player Names and Numbers on Shirts
The Committee has approved names and numbers on player shirts, provided they are organised through the club’s approved supplier – Owen McColl.
For the 2025/26 season, this process will be coordinated by Navin Bhat.
Design and Formatting
- Names and numbers must both appear on the back – not one or the other.
- All shirts will use the same font, and the number size will be consistent across all shirts.
- The name size will vary depending on the length of the surname.
- All lettering will be black, printed on the back of the official SPJCC playing shirt only.
- Surnames only are permitted – no nicknames, first names, or initials (even if two players share the same surname in the same team).
- Numbers can be chosen by players, but must be between 1 and 50, and up to two digits maximum (e.g. “7” or “07”).
Eligibility and Participation
- This opportunity is for players only – it is not available for adults.
- Participation is completely optional. Teams may choose whether to include names and numbers, and individual players may opt in or out.
- This policy applies to Year 4/5 teams and older.
Process
- Team Managers (or appointed single point of accountability) will coordinate the process for their team.
- Survey players to confirm interest and collect payment ($15 per shirt).
- Send list of names/numbers to Navin at spjcc.year6.7@gmail.com or 0408 913 896 for approval
- Once approved, liaise with Owen McColl for production (maximum of four teams per week)
- On your allocated week, deliver all clean team shirts to Owen on Monday.
- Shirts will be ready for collection on Friday of the same week.
- The Team Manager or appointed SPA is responsible for collecting shirts and payments from parents, and for paying Owen directly ($15 per shirt).

Any shirts with names or numbers not produced through the approved supplier or process will not comply with club policy, and players wearing them will not be permitted to play until replaced with an approved shirt.
